The Leadership Skill You’re Missing
Why Decision-Making is More Than Just Yes or No
As agency leaders, we’re faced with decisions every single day. No matter the size, each decision plays a crucial role in shaping the direction of our agency’s growth.
Yet, we often fall into the trap of thinking decision-making is just a simple yes or no. In reality, it’s far more complex than that.
Gut instinct is vital. It's the internal compass that guides us when things get unclear. I won’t downplay the importance of trusting your gut—because it’s a key part of leadership. Still, when decisions are made under stress, uncertainty, or when your inner critic is in the driver’s seat, it’s easy to second-guess yourself or overthink.
What if, instead of waiting for the perfect decision, we tuned into a process that helps us align with what truly matters?
When clients come to me asking “What should I do?”, I don’t give them the answer. I guide them to discover the answer that’s right for them—one that aligns with their values and goals. This process sidesteps the inner critic and lets their gut shine through.
Decision-making is an essential leadership skill, and it’s one that you can refine over time.
It’s about having a strategy that allows you to trust your gut, make decisions with clarity, and lead your team with confidence. When you merge intuition with intention, your leadership is unstoppable.
I’ll be diving into this process at my upcoming Elevated Decision Making retreat, where a small group of seasoned agency owners will explore how to refine your decision-making in order to lead your agency with more purpose and presence. This gathering will be a space for agency and business leaders to elevate their approach to decision-making.
