Remember as a kid playing the game hide and go seek? There was always that one kid who you could never find because they were the tiniest and most flexible and could hide in the smallest of spaces.
For me, that was Susan.
We could never find Susan. And oftentimes we would just give up.
That might be how you’re feeling these days… Like giving up.
It’s no wonder you’re feeling scared and anxious… and likely even a bit sad.
Wherever you turn, there’s doom and gloom. There’s so much negative news coverage of the pandemic, and it’s also invading all our conversations.
It’s impossible to escape it.
All this doom and gloom is having an impact on your mindset.
Protecting your mindset during these troubling times is the most important thing you can do for your business, yourself, and your clients.
So, let’s pivot your mindset from that place of scarcity to a place of abundance. From a place of fear to a place of calm.
I’ve developed three mantras that will help you do just that.
“I am the leader of my business.”
It’s time to get out of your pajamas and get dressed for work.
This is so important because how you show up every day directly impacts your mindset.
If you’re dressed for lounging and sleeping, this directly impacts how you work throughout the day … and how your mindset shows up.
Bringing structure into your day is so important. Just because your routine has shifted, doesn’t mean how you show up must shift.
Dress for success and power your mindset.
“The clients will return.”
It’s easy to get caught up in the scarcity mindset I mentioned earlier. You may believe that your clients will never again be able to pay for your services … and they won’t return … and your business will fail … and so on. These fear-based stories play out in your mind.
Instead, reframe this scenario from a situation where your business will cease forever, and instead view it as a pause.
It’s just a pause.
Your clients value you. You have worth. You are smart.
They will return.
It’s not a question of IF, it’s a question of WHEN.
“Everything is possible.”
Your goals are possible. So are your dreams, your vision, and your mission. These are all still possible.
They’ll resurface when things start to pick up again.
Remember, there are good things happening all around you. Gravitate to those silver linings and bring those happy stories into your conversations and into your day.
You’ll feel your energy lift, so you can rise above the fog and see your possibilities again.
Say these mantras to yourself everyday …
I am a strong leader.
My clients will come.
Everything is possible.
These three mantras will help you pivot your mindset so you can go from surviving, to thriving in your business.
Sometimes a positive mindset is hard to find … but with a little focus, it can be easier than you think.
