It’s the most wonderful time of the year! When you crack open your brand new planner and unlock your hopes and dreams for the New Year.
It’s like looking at a blank canvas, where you get to create whatever you want, in high definition!
And then you freeze.
With so many options to choose from, how do you know which planner is right for you? It feels harder than choosing yogurt (Greek, Icelandic, creamy, organic, fruit on the top, fruit on the bottom … you get the idea!)
Before you know it, your decision-making powers come to a grinding halt.
Instead of excitement, you feel paralyzed.
Here’s the thing …
When used correctly, planners make a huge difference in whether you perform or procrastinate.
Identifying what you want to accomplish and mapping out how you’ll get there is a logical approach to getting things done.
However, choosing a planner often has little to do with logic.
In this two-minute video, I share the one thing you must do before buying your next planner … and it’s also the one thing you may not have thought about.
Now you’re in-the-know about the one thing that really matters when choosing the perfect planner for you … here are three additional things to consider:
- Size – If you need to carry your planner around with you, the smaller and lighter the better. Your back will thank you for it.
- Layout – Do you need a traditional planner with a calendar and TO DO list, or are you looking for something more robust that helps with goal setting and business planning?
- Binding – Decide what appeals to you more: three-ring, serial or disc-bound so you can add your own pages.
